- [The Ruckman Family Prayer Letter: October – November 2025](https://ruckmans2africa.com/the-ruckman-family-prayer-letter-october-november-2025/): Happy Thanksgiving from the Ruckman’s. We have settled into our busy schedule here on the mission field and are so grateful to be “abounding in the work of the Lord.” As we approach the holidays, the weather is heating up. The real-feel temperature today is 102 degrees.The actual is only 88 degrees, but the humidity makes it feel much hotter. It will continue to be hot until rainy season begins late April.  Our container arrived on October 25th. We were happy to get everything offloaded and begin distribution of the resources. We arrived back in Ghana to officially begin our second term on August 19th. Four days before leaving, we loaded a 20’ container with scriptures, Bible Institute books, clothing, and some much-needed personal supplies. We praise the Lord for a large group who helped us load the container. We also thank you for giving for the shipping, port, duty, and delivery fees of the container. The government would not allow us to start a traditional orphanage, as many children have been used, misused, and abused by that system.
